So I flipped 10k miles today and had previously collected all the items for scheduled maintenance so put the truck up in the air. The “shop dropped my truck” thread had me a tad nervous and reminded me to double check everything and be very cautious. I took my time. Used Mobile 1 synth and added the aluminum housing and a fumoto valve to make future changes a little simpler. Pumped some red tacky into the front drive shaft zerks while I was under there.

Yes I took a pic of my dash while driving **gasp**

Anthony250f came and did a bumper swap for me while im gimpy. Pelfrey off, Relentless Fab stealth on. Due to the lower front of the relentless it exposes uneven cuts from the pelfrey that were hidden. So time to swing by dealer and order the under light parts to re-cut and re-wrap.

Might be fuel pump or there is something else under the bed. Im not sure what it is but it is there. It’s a box shaped object towards the cab. I’m not sure what it is so maybe that could be the culprit.

Set the truck to park, crank up the parking brake, chock up the wheels, and get under there.

Anti T-Rex flare is way more fun.

@Kwisak please label this flare accordingly.

It’s probably the fuel evaporation leakage check. My Subaru Forester does the same thing and the noise is similar.

Made it 5 miles past the point of no maintenance on Lick Creek Road near McCall Idaho, before reaching snow that was just too deep for my nearly stock Taco. This is on the way back out.

Spent the weekend installing my HAM radio setup (Yaesu FTM-400 XDR) will put up pics this weekend. VERY happy with it and Yaesu for the tech questions I had. Also thanks to the Colorado Ham and Cheese thread folks for moral support and advice!

Did you have to make any change to fit that bigger tire/wheel? Also is that stock suspension?
    Thanks

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I too have been following, super helpful that Ham&Cheese thread has been.
About to do the same setup. Nice

Just finished the install of the Bussmann Box held in place by the custom powertray mount this afternoon. The install was fairly easy, just needed to work around the wiring underneath the tray between the Bussmann and OEM fuse box (Dropped the bolt a few times and had to go fishin). Otherwise a great fitting piece and quality product.

    1CE23C2A-51F5-48EF-B651-599219C0B033.jpg

In addition to the tray and the various buss bars and Bussman box I bought the Surface Mount 100A Blue Sea MRCB and realized that I needed to drill a circular hole to mount it properly. I initially decided to do that to keep the battery cables mounted below the tray. (a major pain) that I probably wouldn’t do again, and would change it out for a Panel mount MRCB instead(Maverick @Mr.PowerTrays sells both on his website).

You can also get them at West Marine or online at Amazon. I do like how it looks now all wired up and ready for accessories. Thanks Maverick @Mr.PowerTrays for the great product. Also like the personal touch of labeling your hardware and the hand written thank you on the bill of sale. Super impressive. Just wish I had run across the TW discount code before I purchased it!!

    Next project...dual battery mounts.
