Mine might be for sale in a bit, still up in the air about what I’m doing with my life in the next couple months.

You could try and change your notification settings for a while. Get an email for every reply to this thread. It’s a bit overkill and your phone will be going off like crazy...

I only recommend this because I have yet to see a GFC last more than 30 minutes to an hour.

I bought my reservation within an hour of it being posted. It just got marked as ready for production on the leaderboard! :D

Has anyone sealed off the top of the bedsides under the bedside caps? If so, what did you use to do it?

Yeah, I used aluminum tape stuff and a bunch of gorilla glue epoxy silicone. I can send you exact products if you need

Yeah that would be great! I'm also considering weather stripping right near the inside part of the bed rail just as an easier solution. Is there a reason you used aluminum tape? I just ask because you aren't the first person I've heard recommend it.

Just to help seal everything up and then the silicone kinda helps seal around all the tabs. If you pull it apart it makes a bit more sense.

My new bedside caps will be here tomorrow, so perfect timing! I’d definitely be interested in what products you used as well.

^Months ago, I remember reading in this thread about sealing things up under the bedside caps, but for the life of me, I can’t remember why. Anyone care to refresh my memory?

Thought is being it’s a camper and you want it dry as possible in there. And in truth no matter how dry the camper is. Even if it seals 100% doesn’t let even one drop of water in... it’s still just a truck bed, water comes in it’s just a fact of life. I run mine with a Decked drawer system so any water that seeps in from the tailgate or bedrails goes right under the drawers which are all plastic and 100% waterproof. If you were running something wood or similar back there waterproofing is more important I’d guess. No matter what I’d guess it’s tough to keep all water out from a truck bed just by the nature of it. I’ve never had a problem but as I said i stay high and dry up above it.

I used this stuff under the bed rail caps and I used it to fill up the small gaps on the top of the bed rail nearest the cab...

It's not perfect, but here is my attempt to take a picture of the color samples in direct sunlight with my Super White Tacoma. Out of all the colors, the gray space frame changes the most when in direct sunlight vs. shade. Finally was able to pick colors for my GFC. Going into production soon!

The black panel color matches the black plastic trim very well (the OR fenders).
