Syppo Tonneau Cover

I was on ebay looking for tonneau covers and came across a hard tri-fold cover made by Syppo. I googled them and they make stuff for aftermarket oem look-a-like parts for alot of manufs. Has anyone heard of them or bought anything of theirs? I know the F-150 guys have bought tow mirrors from them any they like them. The covers are selling for $350, thats half of any other hard tri-fold. I had a Bak and it was ok but still it was like $800. I have a lease and dont care to spend that much considering I might not get another tacoma when the lease is up.

 

I recently bought my '19 SR DCSB 4x4 and looking at these. Did you happen to get one?

looking at one right now. $300 is buy it now. I'm most likely gonna pull the trigger tonight. I'll update with results, if it garbage I'll fill a complaint and return for free. I figure why not.

 

I just pulled the trigger on the Gator Evo hard fold tonneau for $550. I went this route because it fits flush inside the bed and has the rod that props the last portion up. It's not quite a tri fold, more bi fold. Cheaper then any bed flush hard fold I've seen.

Pulled the trigger last night, ended up $290 on the syppo cover. Will do a full review when it comes in.

 

That's a pretty sweet deal you got. I looked at several of those on top of bed covers and they appear very similar in material and design.

Has anyone attached tie downs to their hard cover? More specifically the part that is closest to the cab. Most covers to flip up on the last portion, there has to be a small portion that is stationary that hinges. I'm thinking about attaching a tie down post there to hold an ice chest or something then using my toe hitch as the other attach point. Not really weight bearing, but something to keep the ice chest from moving.

 

Don't buy a TruXedo Sentry or any that they make that the rails hang off the side of the bedrails. It has been 4 years and their engineers still cannot design a rail that fits the 3rd gen Tacoma.

???? I have a Truxedo Lo Pro, as do many others, and it fits fine. Never had any issues with Truxedo products on my trucks.

What an absolute piece of garbage. If the item arrived in perfect condition it would absolutely still be total crap. No instructions which didn't matter anyway because only a moron would install something of such low quality on their truck.

The cover has a fabric layer on top, it's VERY susceptible to tearing/scratching/etc.

I know it's $300 bucks and all buck christ you've gotta be kidding me.

Let this be a lesson.

Good stuff, I guess there's a lot of ways to skin the tonneau cat but shotty ebay direct from china junk sure ain't it.

Fortunately enough a local member here posted a extang for sale the day after I bought this one so he was my first message after getting today's hogwash, meeting him tomorrow to pick it up. All in all live learn.

 

Well those of us who have had our eyes on this cover thank you for your sacrifice. It's hard being a cheap ass, I speak from experience.

 

anyone want a really shitty tonneau for free? Allentown PA pick up only. Seller refunded me and doesn't want it back.
