I need to call tomorrow or Monday and get these details sorted. My plan is to reserve a couple of unimproved camp sites for the group, depending on final numbers we may have to split up camp sites and just rally St the b52 and trains.

We'll definitely be split into a couple groups based on pace, and also access to the woods.

Work has been kicking my ass, so I'm trying to get some breathing room.

If there's anything we can do to help let us know. I'll only be in the first day, but don't mind.

And which unimproved sites were you referring to?

No reservations in the NMW. Its first come first serve, pay at the gate house. Been consulting the bible this evening and I think the only way to do it would be to truly have two different groups. After the B52, send one West through the 20 mile checkpoint and one more North through either Caribou or Telos

Side note. Just ran the math. Do you know we did more than what would be Portland to Bangor, offroad, in the snow this winter? Hahaha

Anywho. But yes. That. But it may not even be an issue. You might call and find out they don't care about a group at all. Just best to double check though. And a headcount would help so there will be data for the call

I'm in of course.. I can head up on the 24th early AM, I work the 23rd from 6am till 6:40PM. Just like clarification on meeting spots, so we dont get too lost. I'll have my handheld Baofeng radio, and might pick up a pack of those gmrs radios. depends on the funds.. doing as much OT as i can right now.

    I have the basics..
    2 - 5 gallon gas cans (tractor supply $29.99)
    1 - 5 gallon water can (tractor supply $15.99)
    bottled water
cooler - for chilling drinks, and keeping bears away from the bacon...
    first aid kit
    multiple cooking methods

I highly recommend everyone go through their gear the week before so they can bring appropriate items.

I thought the remote sites required reservation? Or is it just a camping pass to use any of them?

There's no reservations period. First come first serve. In Maine.

The NH campsites can be reserved if that's what you're talking about

planning to run fairly stock... just a RTT, stocker tires (yokohama geolandar AT's), storage, and 10-15gallons backup fuel, 5 gallons of water + a case of bottled water, shovel, axe, and recovery gear. spare clothing/jackets, rain gear some firestarters... would be nice if someone had a SAT phone, or land based EPIRB, but not required.

As far as I know not a lot of actual offroading other than the dirt roads, as roads are maintained to a degree for the truckers. possibility of flats are there, so I have a tire patch/plug kit ($8 for a small slime plug/patch kithttps://www.amazon.com/Slime-20133-...ocphy=9002844&hvtargid=pla-384739383348&psc=1 ), some tire spoons, a portable compressor and a good jack and if i absolutely have to I have a Xlarge can of fix a flat..
