So just within reasonable range? I'm guessing something close to ~1/2"?

yeah you pretty much have to hold the fob up to the PTS button.

Definitely going to be testing this, but it sounds logical.

My objective was to better the OEM design/size, since that is what most people will be comparing it to. And I think that has been achieved.
With that said (and without turning this into a brand X vs Y) there are some members in here that have switched over, and so far all feedback had been positive:)
I will test this later, but I don’t see any issues since my fob plastic wall thickness is about the same as stock. Nothing has been altered in the electronics so it should work like same.
I have also not encountered any signal loss when transmitting, it works the same distance as the factory fob did.

Totally understand and I wasn't trying to turn it in to a brand comparison. I was really just looking for a size comparison between the two cases. I'm just hoping it's smaller than current offerings and without a comparison it's hard to tell how different it is in size.

Just looked at AJT designs old and new fobs. I really like Meso's design by far. AJT looks cool, but it looks like it starts an alien spaceship. Meso's is more rugged looking. It just looks more suited to the appropriate application.

I like this as an option!

Any news on projected real ease date?

I'm grabbing one regardless, I like the design. I was just hoping someone had a size comparison pic of the two from a depth and length perspective.

I mean, this probably means nothing to you. But it looks like Meso's vs AJT old design, Meso's has 15% less width and maybe 3% less height.

Do you guys need some more photos to drool over?

Construction is great quality and the assembly is easy. The internal guides for the buttons, circuit board, rubber membrane, etc all lined everything up perfectly.

How it feels is the best part. It's got a little more texture than the OEM one which is nice. AJT's is super smooth which makes it slippery almost and it feels a little cheaper in my opinion. I've had his over a year and it shows quite a bit of wear. TBD on how MESO's holds up to wear but I expect it to be better.

It's a great size and fits in your hand nicely. It's a little simpler and more subdued compared to AJT's which I like. The MESO logo on the back is subdued and a nice touch compared to the large TRD/AJT on his.

Check out the photos below for some comparisons to the OEM and AJT fobs along with a few more to get you antsy.

Yeah it does actually help me get a better picture, I have AJTs old design. I didn't even know they had a v2. My current fob gets caught everywhere since I usually have it hooking from my belt loop.

Such a 1st world problem lol.

Doesn't get more comparable than that! Great info/pics.

    EDIT: Comparable not compatible

@MESO Have you tested the water resistance of the fob? I don't plan on going swimming with it or anything, but it will get wet.

You reuse the same clear rubber membrane from the OEM fob so it should be fairly water resistant to the same level as the OEM fob

I mean, there's no gasket around the fob and water can still enter through the buttons anyway. Just don't let it fall into a toilet and you'll be ok.

    I LOL’d
    I've measured and verified both.
    height: 0%(same)
    Length: 5.98% less
    Width: 33.1% less
I have held it under a garden hose for a few seconds, then disassembled and evaluated. The OEM membrane barrier protects it from any water intrusion. I would call it WATER RESISTANT. Not WATERPROOF I.E Submersible

    @pwalnut nice pics thanks:thumbsup:
