    Welcome to TacomaWorld!

Have you considered just selling the current truck and starting fresh with a new one? I doubt you’re upside down too much with the way these trucks hold value, plus someone will pay more for a lifted truck most likely. May make more sense than going through the hassle of getting the fab work done on the cross member.

Nice, just briefly looked over your build thread and looks like you have a solid build with quality stuff. I’ve read about a bunch of people having problems with Icons but since I’ve had them in my 2014 without any issues is why I went with them again with my 2018.

285s will be what i go down to on my next set. 315s just arent necessary for my 1 trip a year kind of thing. Truck looks good but im over it in the same way you are

So you can use the icons in the front sans drop bracket? I would think they would be too long. Or were you using them with the spacer?

Thank you for the suggestion and I actually did consider going this route. But after talking to the shop and getting the quote for the fab work it made more sense to go that way and sell my 6” kit, wheels and tires. I still won’t be at a loss going this route. By the way the shop that I’m going through does quality work. I would never have a shop do any fab work on my truck that I have doubts on.

Gotcha. Sounds like a solid plan then.

Yes, they have kits to mod the coilover to work with 6” db lifts so you don’t have to run a spacer. I’m going to have the coilovers rebuilt and basically convert them back to how they came from the factory.

I’m sure your truck looks real good with the 315’s, but I agree if you are just doing 1 trip a year I think the 285’s would fit the bill better. Maybe go 295’s? lol

Thanks for the tips, but I’ve already made my decision to bring the rig back down. I tried to make the truck work for me the way it is but it’s just not practical for me at the height it is now. Going to start the rebuild process in about a few weeks.
