2015 Tacoma

Has any one installed one on their Tacoma? I have a 2019 SR Double cab, the instructions
said to attach the deflector to the painted surface around the window. But due to the brake light/bed light being so close to the window the only way I see to install it, is attach it to the rubber gasket around the window. Does anyone see a problem with adhesion if I do this?
