Thanks for the reply. Im thinking going to 3.5bs, the 8 leaf dakar pack. Hopefully If I get a new dana 60 with an additional 1” width per side to eliminate spacers

3.5" BS from reading what @ARCHIVE has published on his website and from seeing the outcome after my install I would say will definitely contact the shocks you may clear if you drop down to a 2.0 the 2.5s are massive though in comparison.

Yeah they are giant. But hopefully 1” extra width per side would be like running a 1” spacer

    Whole lotta stuff
Ive got 4.0” backspaced wheels with 1.25” spacers and 2.5 triples. It doesn’t rub to my knowledge, but I haven’t taken the farm jack to it yet. Might be able to do that Monday. I’ve partially flexed it and it was fine.

Just finished installing this kit along with archive hangers and 4.5” shackles on Saturday. Pulling the bed made all the cutting and grinding way easier, and it only took 15 minutes so I would definitely recommend it. I’m running king 2.5”x14” short body shocks, and the travel that this set up has is ridiculous. Better yet, my lower shock tabs are higher than they were from the factory! The second picture is articulating with slight compression of the bump stop. Someone else took some pictures of the droop yesterday so I’ll try to post those up soon. 7BDA6A62-3E72-4394-A408-ECFD94F6D95F.jpgBAEBFF46-F347-4607-A257-A7BDE9D88E4E.jpg

Looks good Noah. The short body 2.5x14" definitely fits nicely compared to a normal 2.5x14, however, I recommend you rotate the axle tab down so you have another 1-2" for compression of your super bumps.

I was thinking about doing that, I’ll probably order some new lower shock mounts soon because I doubt I can get these off without destroying them

Ok, that's a good move. It is pretty cool getting a 2.5, 14" travel, and better ground clearance out of the deal. That's why the Archive tower is the tallest on the market, you can't get the upper shock eye any higher on DCSB.

Just read through the whole thread. As you know I have your HH on order. It will be a while before I do the relocation, i think i’d like to at least have mid travel proper CO up front first. Not many slow Crawler setups in here, lots of SUA bump travel fast-type setups! I think based on all my reading, I would benefit the most from a 2.0x14” short body considering it would give me the most droop travel no matter what springs I eventually upgrade to but won’t necessarily put the lower shock mount too low for ground clearance. I’m already hitting my OEM shock mounts on gnarly trails. 14” seems to make the most sense for someone like me trying to maximize my slow speed crawling tire contact with the ground.

Currently running (hammer hangers on order) b110, Dakar standard duty, wheelers superbumps/Ubolt flip and extended brake lines, and poly bushings in stock shackles. I don’t run any “significant weight” in the rear but if I do this I’m going to do it right the first time and maximize travel potential once I get a “better leaf pack”.

I am keen on the 2.0x14” kings WITHOUT adjusters or resi’s or anything. Just nice long Kings. I don’t do fast stuff and thus don’t need the extra bits on the shocks. I will also do limit straps with the relocation.

Sounds like a solid plan, no?

Go with the 2.5s the 14" 2.0s are as long as 12" 2.5s. You'll be able to get a lot more out of the 2.5s and they won't be any lower than your stock shock mounts. You are able to set your lower shock mount up so that you set the bump. Even if didn't raise mine up due to the BL. I would still have my lower shock mount level or slightly above the lower part of the axle tube for proper bump travel. I think you'll be fine with just a smooth body shock. I could probably of opted to not get RR but I figured why not since I'm going this far, I just didn't see the benefit to the adjusters. But our SE wheeling sometimes speed and momentum is all that lets us get up things so having that RR is kinda a peace of mind. There are a few slower speed guys in here like me. Only downside to 2.5s is making sure you have enough clearance but with your wheels you will probably clear since they are an aggressive offset. I am off to go wheeling today but if you have any questions or anything I'll answer when I get back. BTW I hate you just a little for having all those sweet trails in your backyard. :jellydance:every time you post the pics.

This is exactly why I went with your kit and it is solid piece very impressive in person. Much more than I thought it would be. You did an awesome job on the R&D and really making this work. I am glad my bed isn't hacked up to stuff 14" shocks under it.

Aye aye captain! Thanks for the help and compliments. AZ is a great place to live & wheel ALL YEAR ‘round. Good to know on the 2.5’s. I’m running -25 offset wheels (I think that’s 3.5 BS) but I’d add a small spacer if needed.

sounds like a good plan, just 2.0x14 normal length (shorter than 2.5) or you could select 2.5x14 King "short body" which is slightly longer than a normal 2.5x12 IIRC

@ARCHIVE Real quick before I place an order for the King's, 2.5x12 is a safe choice correct? I have pretty much the same setup as pictured above except I have OME Dakars with stock shackles on my HH. Also I always have a hard time with BS on wheels and what works. I currently have 4.5" wheels. I will still need to run spacers correct?
