Well, my lights didn't come like they were supposed to, and my roof rack is still being built.

So.... I stitched a leather steering wheel cover on. Took freaking forever, but looks and feels great. Plus, it has little dimples that match the 2nd Gen dash.

Fat Bob's lift kit, 30's on stock steelies, lunchbox locker in the rear, and a ton of other general mods and additions to help the utility of the truck for my particular uses.
Finally found time to continue on with my drawer slides project. Have the whole system built, coated in flexseal, and being used for a few weeks, it was time to figure out how to keep things from sliding around and remain organized.

    MVIMG_20190504_132743_zpsutsbz5xc_4110ed02c9ca12370fd20c8a14f2af69cbee23b2.jpg

Out came the sheets of chloroplast and Bobby pins to hold it all together. I measured the inside dimensions of the drawers which was 17 1/2in wide by 70in long. For the height I wanted to remain just below the top of the drawer sides and settle on 5in tall. Using these measurements and keeping in mind the orientation of the flute material of the chloroplast, I pulled out the drywall t-square and the box cutter with a fresh blade and went to town.

    MVIMG_20190504_090442_zps9y5l8k4b_2c907e00b54ce5ad8168ce06c00cf56cb6b8f496.jpg

I made the long sides first. Due to material orientation needs, I had to split the sides into 2 pieces. No big deal as they got bobby pinned together. I made dividers at 17 1/4in wide which gave a firm fit even prior to pinning. As for pinning, I pinned on the top and bottom of the chloroplast to make the dividers lock into place. Another option I'll look into at a later point in time is using landscape staples so I can change the dividers quickly. However, the current way works just fine for my current needs and was extremely cheap.

For the eagle-eyed out there, you see there's another sheet of chloroplast on top of the bedrug. This material wasn't used just yet. The whole purpose behind the build is to allow me to store items while on pyro shoots and to also assist with the upcoming move from California to Florida in July. The second sheet will allow me to make additional dividers if need be with the remaining remnants being recycled or donated as an art supply. Hope this helps someone with ideas.

Helped my buddy swap his chrome 1st gen bumper for a black 1st gen bumper and started building his “custom car grills” front grille.

Installed 5100s on stock springs and up a inch on the front. Yellow bulbs in the fog lights and just because I was putting in a switch for driving lights I did the abs off switch at the same time. Tires will be next probably wait until the end of summer and lose the Firestones...20190503_133507.jpg

Changed spark plugs, air filter, and cleaned throttle body/MAF with @Dex__43 today. That much closer to finishing my 60k maintenance.

New muffler... gotta love ny salt. New calipers pads and rotors last week. Waiting for my new frame to come in and figuring out what else I want to replace while she’s all torn apart.
