RTIC is having a sale right now. With that said I love my pelican. Better latches than rtic or yeti.

A weekend camping trip on the kenai peninsula in Alaska during the salmon runs in the summer. Cooked bacon in the morning and spilt grease trying to dump it on the fire. A few drinks later and we forget to clean it before we left for the day. Went fishing later in the morning, and came back to the cooler with claw marks all over it. Area has one of the highest concentrations of black bears in North America, so while we didn’t see it happen, we assumed it was a black bear. I’ll see if he has pics and post them. But brought it back to the cabelas, and apparently we weren’t the first to have go through a similar exchange. An extremely poor example of being responsible in bear country, but lesson learned.

    Fellas, how goes it?

The Tacoma is no more...wife talked some sense into me with our 3rd child due this month. She wanted van and I ensured we stayed with Toyota.

Stealership gave us $15k for my ‘13 with 110k for trade-in. It’s her vehicle and I’ll get myself a 1st Gen Tacoma or Tundra when we move to Colorado in December.

Love my Rtic coolers. One of the better pieces of gear I am glad I purchased. Currently have the 65 and just picked up the 45 for shorter trips. Like all of the other rotomolded coolers, they are heavy.

MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
Go RTIC, but if you really want to up your game, get a Dometic dual zone. Borrowed one from a fellow TWer, nothing beats having fridge and freezer.

Congrats on the new addition to the family coming soon. Sometimes practicality has to take precedent.

There is this currently up for sale though.....

Used Connor's RTIC 35 in Moab and after Ryan schooled me on how to strap it and still get the lid to open I was in love.

They are having a price war right now. During Xmas and the new year they blew out old stock. I got a soft 20, large jug and a coffee cup for like 50$ shipped.

I love this large jug! Its so awesome to have cold water all the time!

    1. Congratulations
    2. You're almost caught up to Jason and Luis. They can't pull out either.

Like everyone else said, RTIC over here. They go on sale a few times a year and we love ours. That said, some of the off brand ones are getting pretty good. We grabbed a 25qt ICE one for day trips and it has worked out pretty well. Then have the 65qt RTIC for multiday trips

Ive been camping with the dual zone dometic. They're nice for sure. Ive got a ARB 50 already, but we want to supplement it.

Anything special? Should I order the additional tie down points?

The two on the 35 I used were more than enough but I guess it depends on how you intend to load your gear. My tiny 5' bed is mostly taken up by my spare but the 35 fit, and we'll using the drings near the tailgate

They are moving out the gallon jugs, I think I'm about to order one.

Maybe they get easier but I dont want to embark on that journey. One was a stretch for us.

Hello from Broken Arrow trail in Sedona. Shakedown of the new lift and tires went swimmingly. Only needs a touch more trimming.
