Recently my beloved taco started making clunk noises from the suspension. I haven’t crawled underneath yet, but it seems to becoming from a couple places.

Sometimes when going over irregularities in the road the truck makes a “knock” noise. Usually it sounds like it’s coming from the front, but it can come from the rear too.

Any ideas, or are there items that typically go bad at this mileage?

I would say that its the radiator support bushings.

Replace the OEM ones with these.

I though it was a suspension clunk for the longest time chasing down LCA bushing, UCA bushings, ball joints, heim bearings, sway bar end links, etc... nope rad mount.

Replaced the radiator support mounts and the truck is super quiet again. Got rid of a clunk too when ever I backed out of my driveway. No more rattles through the steering wheel overs washbaord roads too.

cab mount bushings were causing a noise on my 2009...probably because when the dealer replaced my frame they bent 2 of the bolts for them...

The dealership did a frame recoating on my truck back in November.

I didn’t think that they would have loosened or removed anything though.

I have been underneath the truck for hours. I can’t find anything loose or anything that appears to have moved. Dang this is frustrating.

I had loose UCAs from lack of grease and tightening the bolts. I would notice it more when pulling into a driveway at an angle
