Its a little late to the party perhaps. I've been watching sales numbers for the last 3 months and pretty much the entire market is showing a decline of sales. Should be interesting to see how the Jeep Gladiator fares. But I feel like right now is not the best time to introduce new vehicles and expect to catch full value for them.

If you look at the Tacoma, sales have been increasing over last years record pace. The Gladiator special edition sold out in a single day, honestly wouldn't surprise me if it ends up doing better than the Ranger.

Tacoma is a bit of an outlier, most of the Jeep line, including the Wrangler actually posted a loss in April, at least from where I've read. Gladiator should start strong. Personally, I never expected the Ranger to steal the Tacos thunder.

I think the mid-sized truck market will actually continue to grow, pretty sure the Colorado increased sales too. Ford just seemed to make error after error on the Ranger and then to top it off they priced it way too high.

I saw a ranger for the first time yesterday. A local dealership had one on display at the ice rink. They didn't even bother to wash/wax it, poor truck was covered in road dust, bird shit, and finger smears all over the windows. I actually felt sorry for an inanimate object, it was kinda sad sitting in the lobby looking like that.

Of course, that just told me to avoid that dealership, I admittedly still don't know much about the truck, besides someone saying "fuck it, it's gonna collect more dust in the sales lot anyway, just park it at the children's figure skating competition, see if someone notices."
