I just use the McKee's 37 Hydro Blue once a month and all is good in the world. :)

Looks like long term the answer is a new paint job. The truck is 10 years old (I bought it new) only 96000 miles on it. Never any problems with it. I’ll probably wait a year and then either have it painted or sell it and get a new truck.

These spray and rinse products work well. Meguiars has one now, too, called Hybrid Ceramic Wax.

The first application you apply a heavy coat to a wet car and wipe off like a spray wax. On successive applications, you just mist 3 or 4 sprays per panel and rinse it off.

They don't last a year, but you'll get 1 or 2 months for sure. Super glossy and EASY.

Black vinyl wrap the roof and add a small section to the hood to tie it all together.

I’ve never seen black vinyl on the roof of a truck. Sounds like it wouldn’t look that great but I’d like to check one out. Anyone done that or have pictures?

I just took my truck in today to have my roof repainted and whole truck polished. we all know how hard it is to keep black trucks looking good.

Cars are starting to come with this from the factory. I’ll be honest, i’m Not sure if it’s paint of vinyl because I haven’t looked close enough, but based on the vinyl between our front and back windows I wouldn’t put it past Toyota going this much cheaper rout vs a two tone paint from the factory
