    Hello all,

I'm planning a overlandish camping / off roading trip up to Moab in early April.

My ultimate goal is to run a trail that I can camp mid way through and finish the following day. Im shooting for isolation, quiet preferably primitive campsites and great scenery with some easy to mild offloading.

The White Rim trail seemed excellent for this but in my research I discovered dogs are not allowed in the park. This is problematic because My german Shepard is copiloting on this trip.

Im now trying to find suitable trail replacements but am running into closed trails due to weather etc.

I'm not locked in to Moab, I just need to be in North Utah by Thursday 4/11. I could feasibly hit trails in CO, NM or UT.

I am slightly limited in trail difficulty as I'm running a PreRunner TRD with rear locker, list and sliders.

Does anyone have suggestions to offer?
Any help would be great appreciated.

I would consider staying as far away from Moab as possible, as Easter Jeep Safari starts on the 13th, and I imagine people might start staking out every campsite in a couple county radius a few days early. Maybe consider the Capitol Reef or San Rafael Swell area. Check out the iOverlander app or Campendium website for campsites.

Check out this website for trails and trail ratings (Hanksville area): https://www.jeeptheusa.com/ I would stick to a trail rating 2.0 or less to be safe, although you could probably do 2.5s with a rear locker, if you want to live a little.

Standby, I'll check my maps and see if I can tune you in to something good.

Like others have said, April is pretty early for the REALLY good stuff that is gonna be muddy or snowy as balls.

This is kinda what I figured.

Thanks for the Swell / Reef suggestions I'm researching those areas now.

Let me know if you find those maps. Thanks for the advice so far!
