I wanted to see what just the center portion looked like recessed. I still don't like how the outer rim of the PRO protrudes, so I am mashing up a TRD bezel(which does not stick out) with the PRO center..

This is the way. Flush with slightly recessed portions. Looking forward to the outcome.

As a Cav Blue owner, with the stock OR grill, I would definitely buy this. I hate how far the pro sticks out, and would love a recessed one like this. Black lettering looks nice too.

YES, this is the road I was hoping you would take. I shall now be glued to following the progress of this. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with, keep up the great work!

THIS! This is what will knock it out of the park. The pro grill being one of the best options but it’s worst feature being the side profile and how much is sticks out. A flush or more shallow pro grill will hands down be the best option out there. Is this going to be the official thread for future updates?

Before I go any further in fabrication/design.. I need to make sure that offsetting the TSS(straight back 3”) will still function correctly. I’m not too concerned with the depth, but rather the “shelf” that will be right in front of it now.
This is what essentially needs to be tested

Great idea. I like the front on appearance of the Pro grill. I couldn’t get past the protrusion on an already nose heavy Tacoma. I went with the X-Trek, which I love.

Funny enough, I had thought about doing something similar when I originally got my pro grill. I did a quick render (not perfect by any means) but I do think it looks better overall. Not sure how you'd mash them together in real life, but if you do - I may want one. lol

Yes! I don't like how the Pro grille protrudes outward, from the side it looks like a monkey pursing its lips. Love the way it looks from the front, though.

That's how I have mine on my MGM. Went black surround because I don't care for the chrome or the pro grille

I do like the X-Tek grill & has a vintage Toyota look. What is it in front of the TSS sensor?

Ok I was wondering what was protecting the sensor. I could see something in there just wasn't sure.

I have a piece of black Kydex (gun holster material) in front of my sensor. Works great!
