Anyone else have issue with the OEM Toyota Tonneau cover leaking? From the photos you can see it's leaking along the first fold. I took back to the dealership and they are trying to say....."Well, it's not waterproof". I informed them I'm not doing any river crossings, just going through rainfall. I never expected it to be waterproof, but expected it to be atleast water resistant. I also never assumed it was thief proof, but possibly thief resistant.

It shouldn’t leak like that. I’ve gone through some serious rain and had snow pile up on the back and melt.

Never had anything get soaked. Only watered that seeped in were from the very front and back. But the amount of water was nothing.

I would push back telling them to at least replace that first fold.

Edit: first picture is normal, second is not. In my experience anyway.

Mine pools in the same area (taco lean)... amount varies based on how hard/heavy the rainfall, sucks.

Mine does the same if I go through a light rain or the car wash. It’s never been enough to get anything wet. Just enough to remind me it’s not water proof.

Yep, they aren't waterproof, just water resistant, so I expect a little water after a hard rain.
I purchased a watertight tool box to store anything I don't want to get wet and that's resolved the issue for meIMG_2194.jpg .

It will leak especially near the back. It's not watertight and wasn't designed to be.

I've never had an OEM Toyota tri fold, but I've had numerous company trucks with aftermarket tri folds, and none of them are water tight. In fact the local shop I use, documents this to be customers, before the sale.
As @Kevin Jones mentioned, if you have something sensitive, totes are your best option.
OP, you can fiddle with adjustments and seals to try to make it better, but I wouldn't expect the dealer to spend their time to tinker with it. I park my company truck on the street, pointed uphill, and it leaks less, you could mess with this as well. Sorry if you were misled by anyone, before buying the top, hopefully not intentionally.
