I see those veggies! I'm an outlier I know....

I have been bbq'ing whole carrots and beet slices on my grill, but at a higher than smoking temp, and like them's alot.

Just assembled a new brand (to me at least) pellet pooper. This thing is nice, heavy gauge steel, remote probe with a dedicated probe port. Dual “smoke” temp settings. But the best feature is an ash collection cup, it has a knob on the end of the unit you simply slide out to dump the contents of the fire pot into the collection cup, don’t have to tear down the unit to clean. It’s a Camp Chef, retails for $399.99.

Glad to others trying to focus on the firepot clean out. The Blaz'n grill has a sweet slide out firepot and one of my first main contenders.

One of the things I don't like about my Traeger. I have to pull the grate and the drip shield to clean out the ashes.

This four burner 32” griddle may very well follow me home this afternoon.

I'd been eyeballing griddles/grills like that for a while. Finally pulled the trigger on a used one off of CL last weekend:

    IMG_20190504_181146750_HDR.jpg

Saturday burgers turned out great! Clean up wasn't too bad but that cast iron griddle is damn heavy. I waited til the next day to clean. Fired it up on med and poured water on it. Let boil as I'm scraping with a spatula. Scraped out the goobers and then dumped the water. Maybe less water next time so it can just evaporate. I'll figure something out I'm sure

It's got a set of legs. Just haven't set it up yet. Debating on keeping the stainless table like that or running the griddle solo.

How do you like the Blackstone? My friend and I have been thinking about getting one to use for camping trips. Ya we glamp, the small grill, full sized smoker and various other things go with us. We are thinking about the 36" one.
