Thanks for the heads up..I have been so busy at work this week I haven't even thought to check the conditions. As a NEW trail rider with a group.....can anyone shout out if there's anything besides a GoPro/Drone I should bring or have to get through the day....I'm sure as experience builds from trail rides it will become 2nd nature but I've taken the TACO out a few times and at most was just 1 other truck. I just bought a RTT (no rack yet) and I have no recovery gear to my name yet.

Trip still sounds fun but yeah I am not looking to get my stock truck into anything that can't be washed off...

@Thorian Hey man, here's the trail run I was telling you about. Read the last few pages to get caught up on the situation.

yeah with this rain we're going to need recovery straps (not tow hook straps) and shackles at minimum...I have one recovery strap and a couple shackles but there's a solid chance they'll need to be used once or twice and we'll need more than just a couple depending on who needs them when

Just looked it up, "heavy rainfall" is considered .30" per hour....so if we're looking at .25" for the day, I think we'll be good.

Some recovery gear should be first on the list, especially for Saturday if you plan on going. I don’t have a whole lot of recovery gear, but for sure have a strap.

Yeah straps at minimum, shackles too since it's usually easier to hook a strap up to a recovery point with a shackle rather than looping it through the recovery point.

Harbor freight sells both for pretty cheap, can get a well rated recovery strap and shackles for under 40 bucks.

Definitely no tow hook straps though, those are potentially lethal to use in recovery

This is getting rather confusing... We know for sure that we are meeting up at crab Flats Road/3N16/34.233506, -117.089386, but do you guys think it would help if i made a google doc that shows what recovery gear everyone has and who is down for what trail? I think it would be helpful to be able to see everything in one place...

    Here is the doc:
    https://docs.google.com/document/d/1O4RfBTxcQG5TavdVMYJqktMz3i-PZyEmnjZJCO8Lgn8/edit?usp=sharing

I think that if your name isnt on here somewhere by late Friday (9ish) than we can safely assume you won't be joining us... Once we get a more concrete list of people, it might be helpful to make a PM group chat where we can exchange phone #'s just in case someone on the list goes MIA.

If you need to add another row to add your name to the table on the google doc just right click it and press add row.
@schecter517 if its possible, can you add the google doc to the first page so it is easy to find?
