Has anyone had good luck getting the hood re-glued?

I'm pissed its taken my dealer 11 months to get to this point (Toyota Corp Rep was a very polite rooster sucker). The regional toyota rep recommended re-gluing the hood but previously the body shop had mentioned they can't guarantee that the hood won't have "dimpling" from temp changes and I told them that was unacceptable as factory hoods don't "dimple" when the suns out.

I've looked at repairing it myself but figured I would give Toyota a shot before I drop even more money on this shadow of Tacoma's past.

I had the dealer do mine in early 2016 then I did all the spots they missed with white liquid nails. No dimples or any issues since.

When I was a much younger man and I bought my first new vehicle it was a Tacoma, many years and tacoma's later I still love the Tacoma but don't kid yourself these are not up to the same standards they used to be. I've come to the conclusion that this is the best looking Tacoma and also the most poorly designed, engineered, and manufactured generation. My truck is doing what I need it to after having to get warrantied:

Passenger Seat sounds like an old hookers mattress
    Passenger side mirror indicator leaks
Hood was partially glued (Very partially and has taken the dealer 11 months and counting)
    Transmission shifts like pure stupidity
    coolant smell since new
Gearing is almost as stupid as the transmission

If you add up all the problems with all my previous generations of Tacoma's + Tundra + Camry + 4Runner they don't equal the lack of quality of the latest crop and Toyota corporate is totally impotent.
