Here's the google review I posted for them. I should probably make a Yelp account and post it there too.

This one star review is for the installer who damaged the paint on my truck and didn't bother to tell me. Not for the nice lady who made a mistake in scheduling my appointment and the fact that I couldn't get my tint done the same day as my windshield as planned. Not even for the fact that the new windshield that was installed was scratched and had to be replaced regardless. Certainly not for the owner, Josh, who is a stand up guy and clearly takes a great deal of pride in his work. I could overlook all of those things but damaging my truck and just handing it back to me like nothing happened is unacceptable.

Every vehicle you touch is the result of someone's hard work, blood, sweat and tears. Please treat them accordingly. And if you make a mistake step up and own it.

Or, you could not be a that kind of person and just let it go. It’s a 4” scratch dude, shit happens occasionally. You’re not saving anyone by crusading against the company on the internet but you are making it harder for them to make a living. And they fixed it, correct? And you’re still complaining? The first time you go down a trail with overhanging trees you’ll get worse scratches.

Right. Can’t imagine what happens when the footlong is only 10 3/4 inches.

I had that debate with myself and it wasn't easy for me to do what I did. But this is the world we live in. When I look at their reviews and see people posting 5 stars for nothing more than what they paid for and should expect I have to wonder about the validity of any of them.

I'm hardly crusading against them. I haven't even said their company name. If anyone wants to know who they are I'll gladly tell them but I don't think it matters on this global forum.

As far as scratching it on a trail goes you might look at the picture again. That's more than a scratch and it was about 14" long with a lot of it right into the metal.

    stuff
I picked my wife's car up from the body shop and it was missing coolant, several fasteners, the ambient temperature gauge was inop, and other stuff. All that was found in the rain and in their parking lot. It don't hurt to look.

Trust but verify. I had a place leave my lugnuts loose after a tire rotation. That was the one time I didn't check them with a torque wrench and I almost lost a tire going down the highway.

At least he will have scratched his truck himself. Big difference. Going down a trail one would expect scratches but, not while having your truck worked on.

This is why I take pics of my Taco minutes before I take it into any shop including my dealership, and when I do, I always make it as obvious of what I'm doing in front of staff so that it's legit #CYA always.

OP: what does the glass company have to say? Seems they could fix the damage on their dime.

They did pay to have it painted. It still looks kind of shitty though. Like they didn't do much to fill the scratch and just sprayed it. I'll see if I can get it to show in a pic in a while.
