Looking for help. My son was hit on the passenger side rear tail light bumper area. Was it hard enough that it's spun him around and hit another car on the driver's side. much less damage on driver side. The truck runs fine but immediately after the collision the Windows stopped working and the entire dash stop working. No tachometer no speedometer and no odometer are working. everything else on the truck appears to be working fine. The door locks are functioning properly. All lighting equipment is working. Any ideas on what could be causing the malfunctions would be greatly appreciated. Not a toyota person don't know much about them so any help would be greatly appreciated.

2000 Toyota Tacoma SR5 4 cylinder extra cab 4 wheel drive. 3 in lift with 33-in tires. Power doors power windows manual transmission.

First thing I would check would be fuses under the hood. Probably a short due to the impact caused you to blow a fuse.

I’m sure there’s a speed sensor fuse, just not sure which one it is at the moment. I know on an old Civic I had when that fuse blew my fuel gauges, tac, and speedometer went out. Is your alternator charging while it’s running?

Yes alternator is charging. Truck runs perfect. Code reader showed no faults/codes.

Just where was the left side impact ??

That is most likely the cause of your issues .

You have nothing on the dash at all ??

When the ignition is turned on lights at all ?

When the headlights are turned on no gauge lights ?

Nor do you have any gauge function ?

While it seems no fuses are open the impact could have moved one or more enough to not make contact or enough damage to physically damage wires or connectors
