On one hand it looks way worse than it is. Ignore all the missing stuff. Firefighters chopped all that off to make it easier to get to him.

On the other hand, no side curtain airbags and look at how far the drivers side B pillar is pushed in. Whole lot of energy that got transferred into the car and him.

He is lucky to be alive. Glad he is on the mend.

told some firehouse jeepers one has just installed onboard air

I am game; the more the merrier.

Wondering what's the point of programming it other than having local repeaters, emergency, weather, etc. stations readily available? Or is that it? Couldn't I enter the frequency and be good to go? I definitely understand though if you're gonna be using it often

Yeah exactly. It’s good for having a bunch of presets but I’ve never needed it for what we do. I can get you set up on frequency mode in about 30 seconds.

pretty much just to have preloaded channels you can turn a knob or whatever to what you need.

Gotcha. Yea thats what I figured. When I got my license, the president of that radio club (which is less than 2 miles from my house) said to bring my radio in to him and he would program it for me. I might take him up on that just cuz

Thanks! With everyone texting and driving, if anyone rear ends me then they were really not paying attention. Especially at night! Those suckers are bright.
