Hoo Wee, it's pungent. Hard to describe.
Like peppermint without the sharpness, but much more intense.
I have Pennyroyal growing wild on the edges of my yard.
If (when) the cats get fleas (from all the damned squirrels)...
...I just pull up a couple plants (they're small) and start rubbing the cats vigorously.
Which they don't like.
Neither do the fleas.
