Just want to share a tip since I've seen and heard complains about how only the driver door can be opened with the handle sensor.

In the infotainment there's a setup app, in there you can change a bunch of settings and one of those settings is how many doors to unlock with the sensor. Only two options are available, driver door or all four doors.

I always have stuff that I put on the back seat so walking by and grabbing the driver door handle to unlock all doors is pretty helpful.

... unless you are on the wrong side of the truck. My wife’s basic RAV4 has sensors on both sides, why cant ours? :notsure:

There is even an unlock sensor under the drivers door handle.

I knew this but never activated because it seems like a security risk.

Good point! It is a risk, and those using it should understand and consider this.
I know I can get robbed anywhere, but if I lived in a more urban environment, I probably wouldn't activate all doors. Getting in a car with all the doors unlocked, is the perfect time for an unwelcome visitor to jump in with you.

Besides telling you to go into time out or take a nap, 2020 nanny probably also tells you when you have to wash your hands when you go to the bathroom

I use that too.. Love to have everything open at the same time. BTW, is there a way to do a global close on the windows during vehicle lock?

I agree, it would be nice to have it at all doors, probably just a few dollars in sensors and copy/paste code. I'm glad at least is on one door. Not too long ago we were putting an actual key in the door in order to open it. ;)

No worries. I came from a Subaru STI and it was the same thing, only driver door could be opened with the sensor. It took me a few months to realize that I could change that so first thing I did when I got the Taco was to look for that option and sure enough, it was there.

Fair point. I do take this into consideration but where I live I'm not too concern about it.

I believe there is also an option in there for folk like me that don't have the sensor, that will unlock all four doors with your key fob on the first unlock. I know it's either one push of a button or two but it's there!

2018 STI White. Had a bunch of mods and loved the ride but I wasn't actively tracking anymore so it was time to move on. What about you?
