I'm looking at buying a 2019 OR. I had planned on waiting for the 2020, but I don't think the power seats and other changes are worth it to me. I do, however, plan on replacing the head unit if I get a 2019 because I've convinced myself that putting something like the Alpine iLX-107 in would be better than the 2020 head unit anyway.
My question is, if I plan on swapping the head unit, am I better off NOT getting a truck with JBL, or are the speakers and sub (and having the sub-housing already) worth having? The impressions of the JBL system appear to be all over the map. Without it, I'm guessing I would need to install a sub and do the Subaru tweeter swap at a minimum.
    Thanks.

For the extra price of the JBL system, you can build a FAR better system. The radio is the same as the non-JBL systems, so you're not gaining or losing anything there.

If you don't want to ever upgrade anything and don't want to do any work (or pay a shop to do it) then sure, grab the JBL system
