Started rebuilding the junk yard TRD rear end today. Hope to have it finished by late afternoon.

New wheels and tires. Wanted to stick with the 90s style rims. Super happy with them. With 225/70/15 tires on it. Stock suspension

Which brand for the TPS did you suggest was the question. Ntk was one of them . Glad to hear that one is working well.

Got a GMC Syclone vibe to it, I like it.

You can make a new rag joint yourself if you really wanted to, but make sure the material still has some flex cause the body moves quite a bit and the steering rack doesn't so much haha

Here's a fun (for you because it happened to me) little Friday read. Enjoy!

Oh no! No, no, no. Please no...

PS - and now you know why a few weeks ago, I was asking about the various CVJ options.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
    Let's talk bump stops...

Looking at options for front bumpstops. I'm at 2.5 inch lift with 285/70R17 and 4.5 backspaced wheels and 1.25 inch spacers.

How are the @Plastics Guy bumps? Don't really want to shell out for the Wheelers... and not even sure Wheelers are actually for 1st gen. Pretty sure @Fernando has busted up a few sets of Wheelers bumps.

I had one of his first prototypes and it split apart after a few months, he sent me one of the newer ones right away which was really cool of him. That was about 3 months ago and I just looked at it the other day and it's splitting once again...haven't hit him up yet about it. The one on the other side is doing just fine though.

Yeah I have Wheelers Superbumps in the rear and they've held up great for almost 2 years. I was going to modify them for the front when these other ones came out...might end up doing it now though. Or maybe just get some Energy Suspension ones, I think they make some...or maybe it was Daystar. Not as cushy as the Superbumps or Durobumps I'm sure but they look better than the OEM ones that are like rocks.

    A) You end up sitting on them at ride height, which doesn't help ride quality.

    B) If you hit something hard, get the front tires in the air, or anything else where you would really like a good bump stop, they deflect and don't really do anything. I just blew right though them straight down to the OEM bump. Kinda defeated the purpose of having them in the first place.

Can saggy suspension cause problems with getting/keeping a good alignment?

If you want fancy bump stops I'm in the process of talking with the owner of locked offroad on setting up some type of group buy once everything is finalized I'll post up the info. Retail is 360 for a set of 2x2s with cans.
