    Thanks for letting me know!
    I was going to stop at Durango for a few days before going to Moab but I think Ouray is going to be better. I really hope there’s a few trails open during my visit which is by the end of May

    Moab is nuts right now, so many people there.... More trails will be open at the end of month, since we didn't get much snow this year I imagine it to be melted by the end of month. Keep looking here for road updates: http://www.bushducks.com/tripreps/passopen.htm

    Going to revive this again, would this be a manageable to do solo, or should I avoid that and see if I can join in with a group?

    Unfortunately there's a lot of traffic on those trails, nor are they very remote. I wouldn't be too worried about doing them solo.

    Yes, you can go solo. We go solo numerous times in the summer. Theres lots of traffic on these roads these days so you'll never be alone..
