At the recommendation of @Oldie2007 i am posting this question here.

So I am trying to decide the next mod for the rig and I’m debating a new leaf pack or airbags. I am leaning toward airbags with Daystar Cradles due to the fact that it would give me the most flexibility with varying load weight. I do want to still have the off-road flexibility though for the occasional wheeling excursion. Do any of y’all have real world experience and advice? I would say I haul trailers and bed loads way more than off-road. I’ve read a few of the threads on TW but I’m still stuck. Any help is appreciated.

Ty brother. I am planning to pull a small camper/trailer at some point soon so I was thinking airbags might be helpful plus I pull a fair amount of weight somewhat regularly. BUT I want to still off-road. I know flex is limited w/ airbags.

Everyone has their own way, but I will never have airbags without 4 link again. Airbags and leaf springs are finicky I’ve found, granted my experience is in 1 tons. I would go heavy Dakars and call it a day, much more usable.

What do you mean by finicky? Just trying to gather real world input.

What do they ride like w/ no load and ~ how much weight do you typically pull?

Ive only seen one truck that didn’t ride like complete crap with bags on leafs, still think it was a fluke. People will tell you they love what they have because they don’t want to admit it was a terrible purchase.

this probably more true ^^^^^ that many would like to admit! I rode some Air Shocks eons ago, but they are not the same thing at all.

I couldnt tell you, ive had constant load on them since day one. I dont tow anything, so cant speak to that unfortunately. I have about 500lbs or so of stuff always on the truck though and theyre good to level it out.
