Right? Clearly it's intended for fishing gear as well.

I agree, and really if your the average guy doing work around home, has a family or is gonna start one soon. The DCLB is the best configuration. I haul a lot of big things but they aren’t necessarily heavy. The 6ft bed is really to short a lot of the time, but I don’t wanna go full size, the DCLB is still much easier
to park and maneuver than a full size truck. My dream truck is an access cab but at this point in my life it just doesn’t make any sense, and would be more
    of a nuisance.

My AC back seat is primarily for golf club storage. Love my AC.

it really is. to put it into perspective a full sized truck like the tundra with a DC 6ft bed configuration is only 4.7" wider and 3.4" longer. at that point i'd rather just go full-sized. it's just way more truck for probably the same amount of money and only less than half a foot in size difference

I like my access cab. Every pickup I have owned ('88 F-250, '97 F-150, '14 Taco, '10 Taco) has been an access (extended, also called "Super") cab.

I carry too much crap for a single cab, but I seldom carry passengers. The access cab does the job for me.

First two trucks I had were Ford super cabs. One Ranger one F150. Did the truck at the time. Previously had a 2015 and a 2017 Ram 1500s with crew cabs short beds. That interior space spoiled me. Ended up with passengers quite a bit, so the crew cabs were worth it.

For future plans I chose the DCLB to fit my needs. Always wished I had a longer bed with the last two Rams though. Always came across a situation where I could have used a bigger bed.

That said, the AC config is def my next choice. Not a big fan of the DCSB.

NO - NO -- I said before (if you had read my spiel) I paid way less than sticker because I negotiated the price BEFORE the dealer ordered. Key word - is Patience!

By the time I have 1 passenger camping gear, climbing gear, basejumping gear and firewood I fill up the whole bed with just two people not sure how I could fit 3 let alone 4 people and gear even with a long bed

If you have kids, work out of your truck and give rides to co-workers, or go on road trips with friends, get the double cab, ESPECIALLY if it's your household's only vehicle.

I agree if you go with a dclb, you may as well get the Tundra. Same money, close size, similar mileage, more truck.

Not even close. Anyone who has driven or owned a Tundra knows how big they are. Mileage is 14/15 vs 19/20, not sure how thats similar.

It was an easy decision for me. The Access Cab fits my needs, the Double Cab does not.
