So I'm hoping to be making my first purchase of aftermarket wheels here shortly (Ray10s I hope) and have a few questions before going to get them mounted/balanced/etc.

Should I expect whatever shop that does the work to already have the 6/8 spline lug tool to install SCS/Gorilla lugs, or do I need to have them borrow mine?

Should I have any particular questions or statements when I go to get it done? Like on the Ray10s do I need to mention anything regarding the faux beadlock? (In the back of my head all I want to say is don't f*ck up my new wheels)

Shop doing the work is going to be from where I buy my tires. Going the route of Ray10s 16x8 + 265/75R16. Just want my bases covered when I go in. Sorry for dumb questions, bought tires tons of times but always on shit stock wheels for my previous 98 Chevy.

They should have a spline lug adapter, but I always let them use mine, as I know it's in good shape. Mounting the tires on the rim is always a gamble and they could be damaged during install. Take pics of before and after and dont leave the shop until thoroughly inspected.

Thanks for input. Good point, I didn't think about what kind of shape thier tool might be in. Oh, you know I'm taking pictures for sure!

Oh, forgot to add this question. Nothing I need to worry about with swapping the stock TPS units into the new wheels correct?

If you have steel stock wheels a d transferring to alloy then they may not be compatible. I have heard that that can be used if positioned properly.

What kind of lift/level are you going with? I have the same wheels and searching for my tire, but am concerned about rubbing. Let us know how it goes and please post pictures if you can.

For now, no lift as everyone has shown/stated this pairing will work on stock suspension. I admit regardless of how many posts I've seen I'm still nervous about rubbing but I don't have mud flaps so we will see. The shop I went to did say that if the 265/75s didn't fit it would be no problem to send them back and swap for 265/70s. I'm going in on Thursday to get them ordered, should have them mounted on Saturday. Fingers crossed.
