Hey TW i have a TreeLine RTT that i bought last summer and I am going to mount it on my AluCab canopy.
I have previously mounted it passenger side and it works well. But for those tight areas or spots where you have to camp out the back I was thinking of mounting the tent to some ply with a dowel and bushing bolted through the ply and into a centre crossbar. Then in the corners some short clevis or wingnut bolts to secure the ply.
So when i arrive at a site etc if i want to spin the tent i pop the 4 corner wingnuts and spin 90*. Anybody have thoughts on this?

sounds like an awesome idea. might be worth finding someone local that can help fabricate an all metal base instead of wood?

    ...stuff
I was literally going to suggest this too. Just need to find a way to lock it so you’re not going down the road with a propeller hat spinning

Plywood top and bottom. Drill for a dowel or use vice grips lol.
