    Evening all:
:woot: we managed to get 3 walleyes last night! Started out good then went South, when we left there was a heavy mist moving down the lake which normally shuts them down for whatever reason.

Got my fishing license over a week ago, but where some of us Coleman Collectors camped, shore was very shallow, stuff suspended in the water, so no fishing. Poor Repo had to be leashed or tied up all the time except for walks outside the CG. Poison Oak everywhere.

Just want to go ahead and wish all mothers a Happy Mother's Day a little early.

What a blessing to have the influence a mother offers while demonstrating unconditional love.

    Update on that punk....

"Police say Ramone Sanabria's mother contacted officers Wednesday night after seeing the video herself.

Sanabria agreed to turn himself in to take responsibility for his actions."

    Morning all:
Only 3 walleyes so far, picked up 2 small stripers on another night.
Mowed about 2/3 of the yard yesterday, the rest is way too wet.
    No turkey, still have time!
The river is too high to fish for shad or walleye.
    It's raining again.
    :( :annoyed:

    Happy belated birthday Mark.

I "retired" at 62 after running the numbers. I would have to live until I am 89 to exceed the money by retiring at 62. Then SS sent me a letter saying my son was eligible for benefits, when I ran the numbers again I would have to live until I was 112. No brainer for me.

Sorry about the Tacoma dent. You might want to look at a paintless dent removal person to fix the dent. I agree everyone's situation is different for when to take SS. You need to run the numbers for your situation, and do not forget gas and wear/tear on the car. That is a real expense.

I had the same situation. I chose to let them come and tap me on the shoulder. It was good for 6 months severance pay. I turned 62 two weeks later. In Maryland you can receive unemployment and SS at the same time. Unemployment pay is actually a benefit you receive from your previous employer if you do not quit or are fired.

Ken and Duane: Do either of you have a recommendation for a dedicated griddle? I know it is not a camp stove but it is sort of similar.

I dont use one, it is just me, so a frying pan for bacon or sausage, then my egg. Many times I brown a pre-buttered English muffin just before the egg, can slip the meat along the egg to warm back up.

I didn't think you would use one but you never know.

Happy Mothers Day to you. I hope the family has a nice event in store for you today.

NAP, I am not convinced I would get a lot of use from one but I would not mind owning one. I will keep my eyes open at yard and estate sales this summer. Never can tell what you might find. Having the Tacoma is one of the best ways to go yard sales.

True. An old one would be a great find.

But, I just do not cook that way, even when camping.
