Hello all, I am contemplating getting a dashcam and realized that my covercraft sunscreen may cause issues. Does anyone have a fitted cover and dashcam? What are the mounting options with this combo?

That's probably your only option. I had to on my weekend car.
Put cover on, make sure double check , outline and cut. Check your dash cam if you need to cut more. The area you cut must be taped, sewn or other ways to keep from fraying. I used Gorilla tape.

Has anyone tried a mount that clamps on the rearview mirror?

Most dash cams are fairly small. I mounted mine right next to the sensors and the go pro mount. Would that interfere with your sunscreen? How close to the glass does the screen come in that area?

Mount it behind the rear-view mirror. That's where mine sits and it easily clears my UVS100. 20190321_115810.jpg

I might use my go pro mount one day.
Yea, I didn't think about doing that, I will never use that mount.

I've got a dashcam mounted to the rear-view mirror stalk and use a sunshade made by someone on this forum which clears it easily.

The problem with this is you're limited to top mount version only. Some like the Vantrue and Blackvue have it's own mounting . Others like the ones on Ebay have top mount .

Cut it or change it for one of those flimsy ones that have two folding rings that are sewn together.

Everytime I do an upgrade or mod I think of the things that would get affected and save myself a headache.

My dashcam is mounted to my windshield on the left side in front of my rearview mirror. My Covercraft Sunscreen fits fine with it there.

OP has a 2019, which should have that huuuuge camera shroud in the way of a rear view mirror mount. Depending on the camera. Even the mirror mount seems thicker on my 2018 than the ones in the photos. So that would be another adventure. I tried MacGyvering with the GoPro mount and various adapters with ridiculous results.

Just have my Thinkware cam double adhesive 3m taped to the underside of the camera shroud. My el cheapo folding sunshade slides right in behind it leaving the lens unobstructed for parking mode capture.
