Is there any drawback or hazard to locking from differentials with the IFS in the gen 3 Tacomas? Thanks,

I’ve always been told to never put a locker on a front diff with IFS unless you enjoy breaking drivetrain components (I guess axles?). I doubt the 3rd gen has a magical diff that would survive any better than those in the past.

Well there’s a good chance you’ll snap your CVs. If you have a rear locker it’ll get you in and out of most places.

Yeah, I was a little concerned about this. I assume with front locker you would use it sparingly and avoid turning much.

I just don’t think it’s really worth it. These trucks are very capable but they’re no Jeep. Front lockers might put you in a situation where Tacoma’s May not belong in. I think the rear locker is fine and more than enough to for these trucks.
