squeaky doors with climate change lately have me disgruntled a bit
tried lubing hinges (with spray) but not good solution
I have isolated the problem to this piece ... 'Door stop limiter arm' or 'Door Check'
a very annoying deep throaty squeak, tried shooting wd40 and some teflon lube inside the door part but the squeak remains
anybody have a squeak and have you eliminated it?

I read somewhere that you've got to pull the door panel off to access that door stop mechanism to properly fix this issue . Mine doesnt do it all the time so I've learned to live with it

Try “white lithium” spray lube. Get a can with a red tube spray attachment. Puts the lube where you want it.

it doesn't do it when the temps are cold, only with high humidity and hotter temps

these panels have never been removed, maybe there is original 'grease' inside there plastic on metal? that has finally dried and/or caked?

i tried some teflon stuff, swung door to and fro and still nothing, no elimination

Now I'm screwed. I will always hear that sound. I never paid attention as it is not loud. But now after you told me I will hear it forever :). The only hope is that with age my hearing will be worse and worse.

maybe your current climate is not hot and humid like it is here?
it does NOT squeak (that I can tell) with temps near freezing

plus this squeak has been going on for many years, its not a 'new' occurrence
just thought maybe somebody has discovered a 'best' method for eliminating it

Sometimes my door made sound like from a horror movie when opening old door to a cellar, but that was easy to eliminate by lubricating hinges (don't ever use WD-40 for lubrication, it makes things worse). The sound from the stopper is faint and did not even notice it till I read your post. My office chair makes more noise than that.

i am fairly certain it is NOT the upper or lower hinge, but maybe I'm wrong

I held the little plastic thing in the middle as I was moving door and felt vibrations

I would like to know what the part looks like to see if it needs greased inside door panel that I cannot get to from the jam

So i struggled with this like most of you until i found the cause - at least for my driver side door. Cant believe how simple it was and why i never checked.

Check both hinges (top and bottom) as well as one bolt behind the cover of the door stop - make sure all are snug.

My lower hinge was loose. Tightened and noise is gone.
