I traded my '15 in for a '19. The '15 didnt make a lot of noise when I went through this touchless carwash. Now with my '19, the noise is almost unbearable. It seems like the '15 was WAY BETTER insulated than the '19. The '19 seems like it is completely empty in the roof. No deadening insulation or foam or whatever they may use to fill the voids...

Does anyone else experience this? If so, has someone fixed it? Should I go buy some of that deadening mat that they use to insulate when people trunks vibrate from those obnoxious subwoofers... I wonder how easy it is to remove the inner roof lining to expose the metal to insulate...

What I have found is there is zero sound deadening in our trucks. They are super loud no matter the situation. There a many many youtube videos out there of sound deadening install.

Not sure on the "fix" as I never bothered since I blast music anyway. But I have noticed when it starts to rain it sounds like a tin can. Again, though, it doesn't bother me.

One would think for a 40k truck you would get better performance. The Honda Ridgeline reviews clearly state 40db attenuation in the overhead automated pressure washer dept.

It’s almost as if Toyota doesn’t care about overhead db levels.

Please Toyota the roar is deafening

Toyota will say that's normal... and then they'll say.. "That's why the TRD Pro is not a $60k truck"!

FYI ... I put dynamat in my doors, back seat area floor, and cab rear wall ... made a world of difference by helping with road noise and stereo. Overall, cost and time installing was minimal vs gain.

You could make yourself a dynamat helmet. That would be cheaper and would help regardless of where the sound is attacking you from.

"Unbearable" carwash noise? Is the carwash normally your quiet time? No meditation mat at home?

Sorry, not trolling... Well kinda, but friendly.

Ridgeline forums zero days are Friday. Everyday is a Tuesday and it’s Groundhog Day in the pleated khakis section. At least it’s quiet tho
