Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Trip home was better! I had a good tail wind most of the trip home, i even got 19 mpg's on one tank but that was down hill leaving Flagstaff to Needles.But it's not the MPG's i care so much about as much as just being able to maintain speed and proper shift patterns. Mat will get this improved with future gear and tire updates for heavy trucks like my PIG!

 

I had a little issue finding the new 1.05.1 87 base after it downloaded. Had to look around in folders till I found it than moved it to my desktop with the rest of the 1.05 files. When you download it'll show you at the bottom of the page where it went. Hope that helps.

 

In Flash Manager, under the Tuning tab...at the bottom - Open Download Location

 

Put 1.05.1 91 Performance on my ‘18 auto (04A61) this morning. MUCH better than 1.05.

I love the fact that I can now be in 5th at ~45 mph.

I also had a weird jumpiness when accelerating in 1st and 2nd...almost like when you don’t quite launch off the line correctly in a manual. I don’t know if that’s the misfire, or stumble, or bumpy road or whatever everyone is talking about, but it’s gone now.

First commute to and from work today was freaking amazing. Running 1.05.1 87 base. Normally it stumbles and shudders on the highway then on the 45 mph road it bucks at 45 mph at 1500 rpm. It drove so good today I actually teared up. Now if it will just stay like this.

I just updated to 10.5.1 91 gear lock and went for a short drive. I was running 1.05 91 performance prior to today. Wow on all accounts! The harsh tip in issue has been greatly reduced, bumpy road (except that I live in California where the roads are complete SHIT) issue is way better and the downshifting is gone. Thanks again Matt.

 

Yeah it was a bit rainy. But we had a good time.

Yah, I didn’t even know I had stutter, I just thought it was a rougher ride. After loading 93 base 1.05.1 I now know I had it and it’s gone. Smooth ride.

Going to try 93perf again to see if the tip in is truly gone or if there’s a placebo thing going on in here.

 

Damnit every time I upgrade there is an upgrade!!!

 

That jumpiness can be a symptom of the tune settling, has happened once or twice to me in the past. One of them was when I first bought the truck.

 

Where y’all finding a tab to reset “LV” and then the “AT”. Only thing I’m seeing is a Clear DTC. Also do y’all get this foreign language stuff for a newer version of PCM ? I click all three and hopefully hit download as I can’t read the language

 

These options are not available yet for DONGLE users sorry, we are working on that
