Very curious what people use these two bolt holes for in the middle of the truck bed under the rear window?

There was nothing in them when I bought the truck but I'm thinking of options for a fork mounted bike rack to bolt in there. Curious as to what y'all have done there!

They are for the OEM bed cover. But use them for anything you like that doesn’t take much weight. bike fork rack seems like a decent option, but I’m sure you’ll never find one with that hole mounting, but making an adapter won’t take long even with the most basic of tools.

They hold the little centering bracket for my tonneau cover.

    Thanks!
I appreciate it! Yea I thought those two were kind of odd and assumed someone must be using them for something useful.

Saw a Ford diesel with that yesterday, it also had a shell and the guy cut a hole in the roof for his stack to extend above it. It looked like a big, fat smoking piece of you know what.

That's all kinds of special. You'd think he'd want the shell to be weather tight...

I saw an f150 with one yesterday, that's why it was on my mind. Sounded like a v6, gas of course. And he had a toolbox behind it. It just smiled and nodded.

Or how’s about the ones that are almost the same diameter as a large trashcan? Wonder how many have had people mistakenly treat it as one?

I feel like in NOLA you could use those holes for all sorts of decorations - umbrellas, for example. Or maybe a fishing rod holder? Shrimp boot drier? pothole radar?

Any ideas for making a mountain bike mount utilizing those two front threaded holes?

These holes and two clamps hold the PVC tube I use to keep my 36" drinking straws out of the elements. (Straws are for getting a drink of water from my 5 gl jerry can w/o tipping it.)

I did this, just for my mtn bikes and for when I use a bed net. I will only use it for really light duty.
