Perhaps you have an aftermarket pressure plate.

    Hmmm, never thought of that..?
Hoping for an easier fix....rather do lil wrenching...than do clutch...
    Thx for thoughts...

Did this truck sit for a length of time ??

Dirt rust on the clutch release bearing as it moves back and forth.

Broken Firewall allowing the linkage to torque putting pressure on the master cylinder rod making it harder then normal

1st gens have very light clutch pedals, or at least they should

Try pushing the clutch on a new model manual trans Camaro...that thing was like trying to scoot a cinder block across the floor with your foot.

Never hurts to bleed the clutch too. I had to bleed my clutch for 40mins to get it clean because the parts are so small and air gets trapped easily

Odd. Should be the same tremac tr6060 as I had in my Challenger Scat Pack. That thing was super lite.

It was also a rental so that may have had something to do with it, was a 2014 model I think

As long as something is not binding a hydraulic clutch pedal effort should always be very close to the same .

Air in the system will not make the pedal harder to push nor will the rubber hose ballooning it will limit the travel of the slave cylinder making getting in gear interesting

I picked up a braided slave cylinder hose, slave, and master cylinders from Marlin Crawlers for cheap. Take off the drivers front wheel and you can replace it all in about an hour. Swapped the torsion spring for a linear spring too, all problems solved. Pitched the old one and its bushings. It has all the provisions for the newer spring, anyway.

My guess is you have an aftermarket clutch. Does it grab especially hard? or can you slip it easily like with the factory one?

When i put a racing clutch in my 6spd, pedal feel got much firmer. Apples and oranges, but could be whats causing your heavy pedal feel

Um..it seems work easy, just same as any other clutch ..shifting too..just the actual action of pushing.. I like the idea..from 95GLH,(&Thx mang) said about changing the dash spring to linear, as it looks like original style. Also want to bleed slave, & or replace it with supply hose.
Truck came from 40 yr old Ladi,as orginal owner. She said it just got hard 1 day,?...ya I' had a Mcleods clutch yrs ago..too tuff:(
