73 Camaro Was in the Myrtle Beach Street Cruisers back in the 70s. Stuck a stroked out 400 aluminum head motor in a pro chassis pinto and thats what got me hook. 1825 pound chevy powers pinto wet.

When you decide to go back into that motor if you want to have some fun, turn it into a 415CI.
Offset grind that crank to the outside to 2 inch J's. Get 327 rods there two inch already and get some after market pistons. Lot better rod ratio than the short 400 rods and they will clean the bores.
. You can turn it up in the 7200 range. 400 lives in the 6500 to 6700 then your rods become a issue.
13.1 strip, 11.5 street. Showed you the pinto cause thats what we had in that and a glide. . 5.88 right off the trailer the first day. 5.13 gears. Worked it down to 5.74 but had it right for the most part to start with. Don't go to big on the intake air. Where a lot of guys mess up and try down sizing intakes once you get it going. Run it then lose the spacer and see if it makes a difference. Bigger is not always better. Run a dart intake on the rail, went to a full race victor. Slowed me down 1.5 tents, Changed back right back up there. Try that 415. Unreal torque.

Nope but it has a air condition. Used the round track boys design mount it to the head ache rack in the dead of summer. container of ice and a blower. Helmet and suit has AC. old folks like to stay comfortable. LOL

Work, elder care appointment this afternoon, trade show dinner this evening. Looks like work wins the nap time today.

 

Well shit. Phone blowing up. Seems my replacement has quit. Employees show up and building isn't unlocked. People who have keys (but say they dont) tried to open.....
Alarms going off and no one knows what to do...so they start phoning me.
