Still gotta get the hang of how to take tournament approved pics.

Missed the tail at the measurement line. And mouth is supposed to be closed.

    Getting better each time.

Still need to work on it. Takes too much time for me to set up the pic.

I need to catch, land, measure/take pic, upload, release and get back to fishing quickly.

I bought a Go-Pro a few years ago. Too complicated for me. Promptly returned it lol.

Is this the forum for upstate ny Hudson valley/Catskills? I’m new to the forum and live in hunter. The mountain has new owners that seem progressive!

Ok im going to be selfish here. I'm going to jack this thread for a quick second.
About the Catskills. I'm looking for a camp site/ camp ground in or around the Catskills. I'm want to hike all 5 the firetowers there.
    thanks

There are a few state campgrounds in that area. If you are looking for a home base to branch out from for all 5 towers, that's a little harder unless you change campgrounds at least once. He's a few options that we've frequented.

North south lake - right outside Hunter, ny - tends to get busy on weekends, high demand place, site of old Catskill hotel on an overlook.

    Hunter, NY 12463

Kenneth L Wilson state park - chill calm place closer to the Tremper Mtn tower.

Little pond campground - closest to balsam lake mountain tower, over an hour from the rest, on the other side of the catskills.

I have a decent route planned. A lot of soft roading the first day and actual wheeling the second. It would have to be a smaller group to minimize trail impact and to keep the group moving. Just been too busy to come up with a weekend that works. Probably more towards fall time.

I kind of want to pre run the entire first day beforehand to see how long the trip would take, minus the stops. There are a few stops, one with a small hike, plus a lot of trail and road miles. Second day would have 2 small hikes with 2 fairly difficult trails in between. Hopefully I can figure out a weekend that works.
