I’d care less about my truck. Would only care about my home.

Hopefully everyone working outside was able to find shelter

Global warming/cooling/change/etc not withstanding, there has always been tornadoes ( unconfirmed with this storm at this point), hail, high winds, lightning, and just generally crappy spring weather here. It's the way it's always been.

Agreed, I'm from the midwest, but one can't argue the extremes (3'' hail).

Okay, climate change and the extremes associated with it are all a myth, no scienitifc evidence whatsoever. Flat earth is real right bud?! JFC.

Clearly you don't understand what climate change actually means.

All that's changing though. Somebody (nameless) was on the news was touting the economic benefits from global warming and the Arctic ice cap melting. Opens up shipping lanes to.. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

Yep, I've gone down this argument rabbit hole before here on another thread, same with my coworkers (and we are meteorologists for the Air Force!!!), the future is frightening to think about given the ignorance and lack of real societal or political changes being made.

Oh... the sky is falling! It's never rained in California, in May, before.

Quick, grab a microphone and talk about Global Warming and State of Emergency.

Climate Change means... the dumbshits that were talking about a new ice age in the 70s, that were the same dumbshits that started talking about Global Warming in the 90s got called out on their bullshit and had to figure out a tag line they could use no matter what they were talking about.

THAT is what Climate Change means.

Because I don't have massive earthquakes!!! I have lived through tornados, hail storms, fought wildfire, a hurricane, snow and ice. If the ground starts shaking I'm out... :oldglory:

    I live in Midcoast maine,

we just get hurricane scares (they usually go out to sea before they hit us, and if they do they come inland and die out.

we get some nasty winter snowstorms like the one we got in 2014 dropped 39 inches of snow on us.. I was dumb, and decided to wait on the wind as it would just blow the snow back into the driveway..
so on day 2 I decided to try and get the plow truck out the driveway.. the snow/wind was gusting still, and we had drifts roughly 2-3ft tall at the back door.. had my fathers truck a 2001 1 ton duelly with about 200lbs (typically I put about 800-1200lbs back there) of sand in the back, and a 8ft fisher straight blade plow.. even in 4x4 I was not able to push mush more than 3-5ft before the truck lost momentum, or the plow blade lifted, and got stuck (no downpressure). so i worked at it for about an hour to get out of my 120ft flat driveway... I finally made it out after getting stuck about 6 times and having to dig out the blade.. back up and try again.. made it out.. cleaned up the driveway (it looked like crap with all the stucks, and attempting to dig out.. made it over to my parents house that was not too bad, but had some moster mounds out front, got them cleared enough to get their vehicles out, and I went to get some more weight for the truck.. had MANY broken plow trucks the next day tow trucks were making a MINT.. lots of transmission problems, driveline issues.. I helped out a bunch that needed it, and even helped a few that their plow guy flat out refused to do..

I'm sure we will get plenty more of these events throughout the years. need to get my honda tracked snowblower back up and running.. motor blew out last year. that thing gets through anything...

My buddies from the east coast always say “omg Cali sucks, there’s earthquakes?!” Bro, the last time we had a major earthquake was back in 94. But brush fires on the other hand... can’t argue with that.
