I dont even have the truck back yet, but ordered an ov tuner, im working on a snout cutter deal and started browsing headers and tiny pulleys...i have a problem.

Anyone know who has a 2nd gen black off-road w/ snorkel? Just passed on Braddock road at Cox farm.

 

I go alone often but I'm usually over prepared and over built for what I'm doing. Other than Potts mountain there isnt much in VA that I wouldn't do alone. The beauty of TW is you are usually not more than an hours drive from a member that's willing to help you out.

 

I have a coworker going out to MOAB doing a week long trip this starting this weekend. He drives a 4-door jeep with 34" tires, no lift, a front bumper/winch and sliders. I asked him what level trails he will be doing, he said "The highest level I will do is a 7 or 8." Which is apparently trails with 40" drops and super off-camber and all that fun stuff. So I asked if he was taking someone with him or going with other jeeps. Nope. "I have been through some shit before, this won't be that bad." I asked what shit he had been through before, his response "Peter's mill run- I went up one of the side fire roads and got stuck, some place in TN I got stuck in the mud alone." And he named off a couple other instances not even remotely close in difficulty to MOAB.

So this guy is doing a week long excursion to MOAB alone and not just doing the scenic route, but doing harder trails. Oh, and he has never been to MOAB.

What issues are you having?

 

I literally told him that this isn't just trail riding anymore. He showed me a picture on his desktop of one of the trails. It was two jeeps climbing down about a 3 foot drop. both jeeps were fully built and still had somebody outside of them spotting. He said he wants to do that trail...

 

We don’t retreat we break contact!

But seriously i have No problem going out on my own as i am Pretty prepared and trained to be self sufficient with many things. Others may not be and aren’t as confident. It’s a mindset and training issue that goes hand in hand. With that said it is always safer to go with a group or at least one other vehicle or buddy. But i don’t explore to be safe but i am Safe when i explore.

 

That’s foolish but to each his own. Hope we don’t read about him or he gets someone else hurt.

 

I dont Recommend any dealerships for anything. What’s the issue maybe we can help?
