What is a good gear ratio for a 04 Tacoma 2wd with 33s. I went from a 265/70r16 to a 33/12.5r15 and I’m looking into changing the ratio but I’m not sure what to go with. I want it to be optimized for off-road use but also be able to go 80 without using a lot of gas

4.88's are great off-road. Here are my write-ups about the gears, and the difference as a result (obviously the front locker won't apply to you, but the rest does :)):

No More Lugging - Re-Gear to 4.88's and Front ARB Locker

    Breaking in the new gears

Of course, once you put in new gears (and with your new tire size), don't forget that your Speedo / ODO may also need to be adjusted...

4.56 for a daily. 4.88 for off road mainly. The more hills you have on a daily commute, the more you will want 4.88.
