Apple android truck update?

So I got an email recently about I believe the Camry/sienna able to get an update for this. Think they will do this for the 16-19 Tacoma’s? Meaning they reprogram the entune to replace this. Was about $50 for the update.

 

Hopefully yes, but I doubt it.

Camry and Sienna getting the updates already have Entune 3.0. Our trucks dont have that.

 

This would be awesome ! I had a Wrangler as a rental for a few weeks after I wrecked my 2nd gen and it had CarPlay. If your an Apple user, it defiantly makes using the radio in the rig a heck of a lot nicer.

 

True. I’m wondering if having the current 3.0 is needed? I mean I can reprogram my dell / windows laptop to run apple OS. Just reprogram the software.

 

I put it in my Xterra and its 100% worth it, you can do so much more.I love that my wife can adjust the nav while driving finally.

 

Dealer told me theres a chance we will get the upgrade when i bought my truck 3 weeks ago.

Not holding my breath but it would certainly be a welcome. Entune is crippled with all the apps leaving.

 

Toyota will include Apple Play standard on the 2020 Tacoma. Just another enhancement to make you lust after the latest and greatest version and consider trading in. Those damn auto manufacturers...
