Reposting but here's a link to my Borla S Type. Having heard all 3 I would say it's a bit throatier than the Pro exhaust but not as loud as a mbrp.

    http://imgur.com/gallery/g4EXN6G

This video was from when I first installed it about 10k miles ago. It sounds the same now as it did back then. There is no droning in the cab and the exhaust is only really heard in the cab during acceleration with the rpm at or above 2700. I've never heard it driving from the outside but I have friends who say they really like the tone, some of them don't like aftermarket exhausts on trucks. If you are just cruising on the road or highway you forget you even have an aftermarket exhaust until you hit the skinny pedal.

My butt Dyno tells me that there is little to no gain in power.

Do you notice it being louder with the rear seats being down?

....and I tried really hard not to do it, but "throatier" made me giggle.

Lol, the note is much more defined than the others.

I have a dcsb and had to drive with the seats down not too long ago to transport plants. I didn't notice any difference.

Listen, TRD exhaust is barely an upgrade for people who want a loud throaty tone.

I have a custom 3 inch exhaust with a flow master series that dumps ( faces downward so the sound bounces off the floor ) in the middle of my taco.

I have people all the time asking me if I dropped a V8 into my truck with an exhaust system.

Hasn't testing shown that swapping in anything larger than 2.5" actually reduces low-end torque in our 3rd gens? I thought I read that somewhere...

I have the Flowmaster super 44 muffler and mandrel bent pipes with everything welded. It's loud, but I've gotten compliments saying it doesn't even sound like a v6. Someone said it sounds like a v7 or something lol. It sounds amazing to me, but I do wish it was a little quieter though.

This looks like a really good choice. Got any video of the sound. The manufacturers web video sucks. I’m thinking of buying.

    this and that...
from what youtube clips i was going through sounds like the mbrp sounds the most aggressive which is the look im going for. probably do a urd ypipe (if they even make it for this generation) and the mbrp exhaust. should have the nice growl down low then the vicious howl up top from the s&b intake.

Save your money, but if you like a young kid fake rice car sound go for it. I heard this exhaust on an dcsb and its sound just doesn't match the classiness of the Tacoma. Just my opinion. The Pro exhaust sounds sweet, perfect for me and its getting deeper sounding. I was looking for a muffler to just spice in but the one piece pro exhaust is a solid piece.

    this and that...
i might have to hear that trd exhaust in person. from all the clips i went through it does sound pretty subdued down low. but again, cant top that real world experience. if i cant decide ill probably just go with what i used on my past couple tacomas. urd ypipe (deletes back two cats) coupled with fm super 44. that was absolutely symphonic and that was coming from a trd exhaust that was factored into my xrunner when i bought the truck back in 08. i understand that its two different motors, but tacoma (and pickups before them) all have that signature engine sound. hard to explain but when you hear someone romping by...you know its a taco lol.

I’d stay away from any exhaust sold as “most aggressive.”

You will be aggressively getting rid of it.

Sorry I don’t. If you search YouTube, there are some good videos. I think you’ll really like the muffler. I bought mine off Amazon.

The mbrp sounds like a riced out civic lol. How long have you had your pro exhaust on the truck. My exhaust still sounds pretty mild.
