Damn. Wish we got rights down here with the south swell. It’s all lefts and my backside surfing is so bad. Hope you scored a few good ones!

I envy you west coasters. Except for the cold water.

A 2 or 3 foot glassy day is heaven for me on a longboard.

Only times we get what we consider large surf is when a hurricane is going up the coast a few hundred miles out, or a freak winter swell.

I use to shoot a lot of surf photography a few years ago.

Was given this board a few weeks back. New(ish) to surfing been on a Wavestorm and don't know a whole lot about boards so this may be a stupid questions maybe.. but would this be considers a "gun" surfboard? It's a 7'6" x 21" not sure of liters or thickness there is nothing on the bottom like usual stating dimensions.IMG_0334.jpg questions maybe.. but would this be considers a "gun" surfboard? nice comeup looks like a fun board (no pun intended)!

definitively not a gun. Id classify it as a "funboard." The tail is sortof narrower than id expect to see with a nose like that, so I bet it maneuvers quite well for its size. Move your weight forward and it should trim down the line nicely.

Honestly its the logical next step from wavestorm to a real surfboard. Id surf it and toss the wavestorm in the garbage can where it belongs haha :boink:

Lol. I was thinking the same thing as far as the nose being a little more wide considering the tail. Cool though thanks for the info and yeah i'd like to get away from the wavestorm for sure so we'll see how this goes!

don't buy into that thinking. wavestorms are great. they have their place. i'd much rather someone learning to surf be on a wavestorm than a board like that. also, wavestorms catch waves super easy and can be a TON of fun. surf whatever helps you get waves. i don't care what you are riding when i am in the water as long as you are respectful to the lineup. don't drop in on people and know when its too big or hard for you and go somewhere else if that is the case. i've been surfing since a kid and LOVE riding a wavestorm when conditions suit it.

One of the most fun sessions I've had was with my buddy and we were on wavestorms. It was like 4 foot slabs, super wonky, and we just messed around for a few hours and had a blast. No wax, no leash, no problem. $150 well spent

Yeah not at all saying I wanna trash the board. It is fun, especially on small days. What I meant by wanting to get away from it is I’m wanting to be able to ride other boards as well when the conditions warrant it if that makes sense
