Hang me out to dry, but I can’t find a clear cut answer. Can the entune app downloaded on your phone update the head unit itself? I’ve tried to search but all I see is people using PC to download it to a thumb drive.

Thanks, delete if needed as well.

I believe all the updates I have gotten are "over the air", either through the GPS/HD Radio signal, or through the Entune phone app.

I do recall using a flash drive once, but I think only to change the start up image.

Right on, appreciate it. That’s all I needed to know. Thanks!

2016 Premium without JBL . I still have the pandora app showing on my entune options . I do not have an iPhone or use my android for music . there is no HD radio in my area either . Can I assume that unless I download an update to a jump drive and update my self , it will not change ?

I would assume so. When I connected my app to my truck the other day it started downloading something to the head unit but I didn’t pay much attention to it so I wasn’t sure if my app updates it or not.
