SR headlights SWAP to TRD or Pro headlights

I need some advice on a headlight swap. I have a Base SR 2017 Tacoma without the Daytime running lights, the L shaped light next to the main headlight. I found a forum member on this sight that was willing to sell me the TRD off road headlights with the L shape daytime running lights or whatever they are called. What will it take to swap the lights? I understand that I dont have the correct wiring to swap?

 

I installed them into my base model SR, had to wire up the L shape drl separate but it was a pretty straight forward install!

 

Do the DRLs work the same as on a stock trd. meaning how you operate it? My base SR doesnt have fog lights so not sure if that matters. Also if our switch on the steering column is the same.

 

How do you turn on the lights on the inside corner of the headlight? @moe2o4 I think you had it on your first pic.

 

Looks great! Might have to pick your brain in a bit, my wife wants my TRD OR DC MT, so I may be in the market for a 2017 SR MT.

 

As far as the wiring for the the L shape DRL, did you need to buy anything additional? Like wire harnesses?? @moe2o4

 

Nope wired them right into my DRL's!

 

So its not necessarily a plug and play right? Can you provide a picture of the wiring you did?? @moe2o4

Did anyone find out how to "wire up the L shape drl" lights?? I have an 2018 SR, and I have a set of TRD headlights.

 

Place a picture of the rear of the lights and I may assist ya...

 

Thank You. This is a picture of the new TRD lights I want to put on. I don't have a pic. of the SR lights that are on the truck. If you need that I will try to get you one.

 

H-10 = Side Marker
H-14 = Front Turn Signal
H-16 = DTRL & Tail

This be the part# for the mating connector to H16 & H17, you need to make a pigtail.


Don't know if your aux fuse box is pre-wired for the fuse n relay...

 

If you would get a pic of the "plain jane" headlights you have on the SR, it would help me.

 

If anyone is getting rid of a set SR headlights please PM me.

 

This is not the best picture, light is still on truck. L.H. or drivers side. Also a stock photo of the R.H. or Passenger's side. I hope this helps, and not to confusing.
