    So how does it work if its totaled out, insurance pays out for truck, then they resell it as salvaged ?

    1. Be an effective deterrent
    2. Eff up the distracted drivers bumper thereby teaching him a lesson

    The deterrent should have been just not hit the vehicle in front of you.

    The driver who hits you will already have good front end damage as is. If anything it will make it difficult to separate the two vehicles in a collision.

    Well was under the truck inspecting everything and noticed what looked ti be rear dif weeping. I know some of these trucks have had issues with the seals, guess I'll be calling the dealer

    Me too. The BMW took the brunt, but I'm sure my body guy will find plenty to fix besides the tail light.
